Home for the Holidays

Oh it has been so nice to be home! I've got my bedroom back. I've been busy as ever seeing all my friends.
It's been a blast.

Tuesday, Adriana and I were reunited! Oh it was so great to see my best friend again. We went and visited teachers back at Pioneer. It was so nice to see them all along with a bunch of their students. I missed the people, but definitely NOT high school. We went and made a Taco Truck run for lunch. And later that night went and visited the Jew (Aaron!) I love Jew.
Disclaimer: I promise this is not offensive guys, he calls me Mormon. It's all good.

Wednesday, I took advantage of the empty house and watched tv and relaxed! It was so nice. I wrapped some Christmas gifts before everyone got home. Then Mama and I went and ran some errands. I worked on making a teddy bear when I was surprised by Marissa, Lizzie, Amber and Kara! It was so nice to see them(:

Thursday, Adriana, Hannah and I went out to the Galleria to do some shopping. We did some minor shopping for ourselves. We later went thrifting and then called it a day. 6 hours of shopping wore us out.

Friday, I was back out in Roseville and at the Galleria but for Taylor's Birthday! Aunt Angela, Morghan, Taylor and I went shopping around again and then out to lunch for TK's 17 bday. It was good to see some of my family again.

Later that night was Aaron's film premier of The Constant. That was fun! Totally not awesome seeing glimpses of myself on camera but it was cool to be considered an "extra!" He did a great job on the film. I got to see some more of my lovely friends and later, Adriana and Ian ended up coming over for a bit. We just sat in my room and looked at funny pictures on Reddit for a few hours. Nothing changed there. Memes and Dubstep are still the best forms of entertainment for us.

Saturday, I had an ugly sweater party. I invited some of the Nerd Herd to come over for a few hours while we ate too much junk food and talked really loud. Of course, just like old times. It was great seeing everyone as if we just like we left off, except we all had college experiences to talk about. It was good.

Sunday, Church. I got to see my home ward family. I missed all my young women and silly boys. And of course the Tams! The one day I didn't bring a purse to church though and I got spoiled with goodies. It was great! I come back to the home ward and I get all kinds of treats and presents. It was great (:

Then Rayanna and Ray came over later. It was so nice to see them too. Rayanna made some yummy taco meat and we had a great dinner. I definitely missed seeing all my family while I was at college, and home cooked meals.

It's been a crazy week and I've got another ahead of me. I can't wait though. I'm a shocked it's already Christmas though. It kinda just sneaked up on me this year. Didn't expect it. But I'm not complaining!

By the way to all you people saying it's cold here in the City of Trees...It's NOT. Try living in the snow for a few months and you'll understand the definition of COLD.

Oh and here are some webcam pics. I actually curled my hair. And wore make up. And wore an ugly sweater....That last part isn't a surprise but the first two only happen once in a while. Make up more than curling my hair, but still...It's rare.

(Almost) Home for the Holidays

I finished my first semester of college at BYU! Yay!

I passed all of my classes. I'm most especially proud of the fact that I beat Chem 105. I actually survived the class. It is one of the hardest GE courses and I made it through! I complained a lot about it because it was really tough. But I did it!

That was the big thing this semester. Finally getting to college and realizing I had to actually try. Try? Study?
WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE? I'd never had to do that before (Except with Calculus B/C. Independent study nearly killed me). But I finished and I couldn't be more proud of myself and all that I have accomplished.

I really enjoyed my first semester at BYU. I love it there. I definitely made the right choice to go there. Sure, I miss all of my friends from home, and I'm far from my family. Though, I've made new friends here (even though most of them are leaving on missions!) I still have all my roommates for another semester at least. And I've got my extended family that I met while I was up here. Plus, Morghan comes down to Provo at least once a month. And my ward family. I love it here!
Though, I am very much ready to come home. I cannot wait to see all my family and friends. Go see people at Pioneer. Go to the Taco Truck. DRIVE! I cannot wait to drive again. I can't wait to go through all the Christmas traditions at home with my family. I just am so excited!

I come home late tomorrow night! Ahhh!

But the weekend here with Natalie and Karina has been fun. Karina left just this morning but the three of us have really enjoyed ourselves!

Friday, we just hung out. Tired from finals we didn't do much of anything but lay around.

Saturday, we all woke up late and were lazy till we went to clean the Church. It was surprisingly fun. We cleaned up then played the piano for a while. We then came home and ate a huge lunch courtesy of her mom. Tuna Melts, peaches and pears, and a milkshake. Oh it was yummy! Then we were lazy again and rested. I layed in my huge guest bed and watched glee! We then got ready and went down to Temple Square to see if we could get tickets to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert.

WE DID. We got to the conference center and walked around. People also desperate for tickets, were holding up signs and calling out into the crowd. Three girls up against a bunch of adults? Yeah, we sadly walked to the cross walk to so we could go stand in the Stand By line in hopes we'd get in. Well we stood there, and a guy came up from behind us and asked "do you ladies have tickets? Here."

Natalie and I's mouths dropped open. We were stunned. Karina was the only one who was able to make any kind of noises of excitement. We thanked the man for being so kind. We couldn't believe it. He came out of no where and BOOM we had tickets. Ladies next to him asked if he had any others, he said nope. Just three.

You could say we were smiling from ear to ear. We jumped around hugging each other. It was so wonderful. As we walked over to our line to go inside the conference center and worker said "You girls look as if you won the lottery." We exclaimed, "WE DID!"

It was really fun. The concert was good. I'm glad we got to go. Afterwards we walked around Temple Square (as well as we could, it was PACKED). Then we made our way to meet Nat's parents to go up to her dad's office. Her dad's office has the best view of the city! It was so awesome to look over Temple Square and the other buildings. Super cool!

We then came home, and left right away. Nat, Karina and I got a midnight snack at Wendy's (I had to since we don't have one in Woodland anymore!) Then we went to Walmart to pick up some last minute things for her Mom.

Then to bed it was.
Today I've got church soon, and then Natalie's family is having a party tonight with their neighbors. It should be a blast.

Then tomorrow we're going to have some other adventures before my flight leaves at 8.

Ahh I'm so happy (: I've been smiling a lot more lately. I think it's because I'm done with Chem, FOREVER! Annnd
I can't wait to see everyone! (:

I'll be Home for Christmas

Oh just one more week!
A week of finals...
But a week at that!
I can't wait to go home.
But I don't know if I want to leave now...
It's totally snowing outside. Dumping snow!
Well Kam informed me it isn't actually "dumping" snow, because it can get worse than this...
But I was like a little kid at Christmas because I looked out the window and BAM!
SNOW.

Anyways, I haven't done much of anything lately. Just studying. It's so fun. (You have to read  that in one of my sarcastic tones). I did go on a date though.

A BLIND DATE, and the guy was not picking up on my sarcasm...The poor kid. He just did not understand me. I finally had to tell him, "Sorry, I've been being sarcastic...Sarcasm is like my specialty." He just laughed.

There should be a warning label that comes on me for the poor souls that go on a date with me. Like...

WARNING: She's sarcastic, so you better be able to handle her comments. She's not looking for anything to come of this date. She's really just looking to have fun and make a new FRIEND. If you keep her out too late, she gets tired and a little delirious. It can be entertaining but she does say some odd things. If you cannot handle any of these things, run away. Fast.

Oh goodness. Anyways. I'm just sitting here, watching the snow. Listening to Christmas music. Kam and I made pancakes. AND emptied the dishwasher. (Next semester...there will be a dishes chart above our sink)

I don't know how getting ready for church is going to go...I mean. It's snowing. I don't own a single pair of tights...Or a skirt that would look okay with a pair of tights. I do have a peacoat...But no "dressy" boots. Boots that would be even pass to be "okay" to wear to church...Yeah. I've got quite the dilemma. Thankfully this is the last day of church for a while where I will have to WALK.

I CANNOT WAIT TO DRIVE WHEN I GET HOME. Really. I am SO EXCITED. It's been like 4 months. It's torture. I just want to go, turn the music up really loud and drive...Maybe go get Dutch? With my best friends of course!

Oh California, look out. I come home in a week (:

Wish me luck with finals...I'm going to need it! (Well, just for Chem.)

People Watching

So I am sitting in the CougarEat for dinner. (Yes,I had no other choice but to eat a form of Fast Food today because I've been on campus since 1pm and will be on campus till probably 10pm tonight.)

But sitting here has been pretty interesting. I've seen some pretty great and funny things (:

The first guy sitting at the table to the left of me: he was dressed in a tan suit. You'd think, "Oh he probably got Subway!" Nope. His dinner selection was a Lunchable.

The second guy at the same table: Still in a suit. He's been talking on the phone the whole time while eating a personal pizza. I'm sure the person on the other end truly appreciates the conversation on his end.

The guy sitting at the table in front of me: He almost sat at my table. Why? I don't know. There are many empty tables but he turned right towards my table, made eye contact with me then spun around and sat the table directly in front of me. Very odd. He's also been staring off into space a majority of the time, between bites. He probably felt just as awkward about our eye contact encounter.

Girl sitting at the square table: There was a mentally disabled worker going around cleaning tables. She was wearing a hat with buttons that covered the top. The buttons that have the cute little sayings or statements on them. It was creative. The girl saw the worker and started a conversation with her. The worker saw a pin on her backpack and possibly made a comment about it and the girl pulled the pin off her backpack and pinned it the the worker's hat. They've been talking ever since. It made my day to see how kind that girl was.

Random loud table....Speaks for itself. THEY ARE LOUD. They'll get quiet...talk about whatever is on the computer screen then start hysterically laughing. I don't know what is on that computer screen but gosh is it hilarious to them.

Now there is a ton of people around here, but those are the people I've been watching like a total creeper. But I figure someone else or those same people I observed are watching me so I don't feel as weird about it.

I've just been sitting here eating a personal pizza myself. Getting ready to meet up with my writing group then take my chem test after...It's going to be a long night. Cannot wait to go to bed!

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Buurrrr!
Really. It's chilly. Walking home from church in a skirt, heels and just a 3/4 sleeve is terrible! Oh and throw in some rain and BAM. I'm shivering the moment I walk out the door.

Anyways, I'm so happy it's December! Just two weeks till I get to go home! I cannot wait. I'm looking forward to seeing my family and friends. And Marley! I cannot wait to sleep in my own bed. Escape the snow. A vacation from school! Oh and get some Dutch! A Kid's Not-So-Hot Hot Chocolate and a muffin top please (: It'll be grand.

But these next two weeks are going to be killer. 4 days of class left and 9 days left total if you include Finals Week. This is how I feel about finals.

I just hope I feel like I conquered my tests and not totally bombed them. That will not be good!
The only one I'm freaking out about is my Chem test. The class really is awful. I know I say that all the time, I'm sorry. I'm just looking forward to being done with it. I mean we are STILL learning new material. And I still have to take my last midterm tomorrow. It's nonsense!

I am so looking forward to taking classes that are going to be interesting to me next semester. Cannot wait!
But yes, pray for me. I'm going to be a hot mess after the next two weeks are over. A delirious, sleepy, grouchy, overtired mess.

But it'll be worth it because I get to spend the weekend with my roomies and that next Monday I get to fly back to Cali! (:

So yes, if you try to talk to me the next two weeks....I'm sorry if I don't reply or I am snappy. It's too be expected when you have to take killer Chem and Bio finals!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanzaa!

So you know: I don't mind what phrase you say to me, as long as you take the time to smile and wish me well this holiday season (:

I believe

I believe that:

  • Life is great.
  • Chemistry is pure evil.
  • People that smile at you, even though you are a stranger, are wonderful.
  • Dressing up for school takes too much effort, so I will happily wear a sweatshirt and Jeans every day (Especially since it's so darn cold)
  • Christmas isn't about the gifts, I would be happy with nothing. As long as I get to see my family.
  • Utah Milk tastes different than California Happy Cows Milk. I miss California milk. (Yes, I'm weird. Let me be)
  • Wearing high heels on campus is a death sentence to your feet. They may look cool, but personally, I would be dying walking around in them all day.
  • Some rules are meant to be broken.
Example: Sometimes you just have to sit on the cement block outside our stairwell and think about life or talk on the phone. It may be against the rules, but it's the perfect perch. You can sit there, you just can't get caught (:
  • Long, late night phone/skype calls are great!
  • My family and friends are amazing.
  • People that judge me for wearing 3D glasses' frames take life too seriously. I may be an adult to society, but I'm a kid at heart. There is nothing wrong with having a little fun.
  • Painting my nails fun colors with different designs keeps things interesting.
  • Every person has something special about them that makes them different. They might not know what it is, but someone does (:
  • Blank walls are an open canvas. Give me an open wall and I will find some way to decorate it.
  • Sometimes you just have to dance or sing in your room when no one else is around.
  • You should always be kind. To everyone. No matter what.
  • A hug can make everything better. (:
So yeah, I believe a lot of things. These are just a few funny things I believe.
Why'd I post this? There was a guy in front of me while walking to class and he said hello to people he didn't even know. He complimented people, said hello to friends and strangers, recognized people that he had sat with at lunch randomly. He was really kind. Some people walked by and thought he was odd, but it was great. It made my day that someone went out of their way to be kind to a bunch of people he probably didn't even know. I believe everyone should do that. (:

That's my message for the day. I'm off to a 2hr Chemistry review after taking an hour break after doing 2 and a half hours of chemistry homework. Awesome right? Now you understand why I think it is pure evil.

Missing in Action

I haven't posted since last Saturday!
Oh no!

I'm sure you guys didn't notice or care much. But here is an update.
Short and Sweet.
Well as short as possible. I don't talk a whole lot but I write quite a bit in my blogs...I'm sorry.

Last week was great. I was so nice to have a few days off. I wish I had been able to go home though.

After class on Tuesday, I spent the rest of the day in bed watching tv shows and movies. An interesting life I live. I know. I did get a phone call from Jordan though! It was nice to hear his voice again. Sooner than expected but still nice (:

Wednesday, I went to the Temple in the morning with Kalin, Josh, Ben and Madison. 3 hours later, we were finally done! It was great though. Going to the temple is always wonderful, even if you have to wait in a huge line! That night, Kalin and I went to the Malt Shoppe and got the huge milk shakes they have. SO YUMMY. We selected good songs for the Jukebox to play, and almost tipped the table over when we both leaned out of our chairs to pick up a quarter. It was frightening! After, we went to the basketball game where Kalin grabbed two shirts when they were thrown into the crowd. I ended up with one of them because 1) it was from Down East Basics 2) It was way too tight on Kalin...yes. He tried it on!

Thursday, I went to my family's house in Orem. They are all so crazy, but what family isn't crazy? I love them. I was just meeting most of them for the first time, but they all acted as though they'd known me forever. It was comforting. I ate way too much good food and pretty much went into a food coma. However, I did feel sick when I got home that night! It was not good.

Those two nights I was the only one in the apartment. 217 was strangely quiet. I did not like it one bit!

Friday, I went out to Kam's house. She and her mom had to pick me up though because the bus schedule LIED to me, so after sitting there for about 30mins, it was decided that the bus wasn't coming and I'd need a ride out to her house in Sandy. We went to visit Kam's old work, then to Temple Square which was BEAUTIFUL all decorated with lights for Christmas. Then we met up with Nat at City Creek mall and shopped around and went out to dinner. We went back to Nat's house in Salt Lake and watched a few movies. It was a great night with my a few of my roomies!

Saturday, Kam and I went to the DI. We got some great stuff! I bought 3 sweaters and a few other trinkets for a total of $13! It was awesome. We just relaxed the rest of the night, watched a movie at her house and at her friend's house.

Sunday, Church and then came home. It was nice to finally be home with all my roomies though! I missed them all.

Now I'm busy as ever trying to get through the next few weeks of school. Finals are going to kick my butt. But I'm looking forward to going home so I'm sort of happy they are only in a few more weeks. I'm not totally stressed yet. This week is going to be the worst yet, but it'll be okay.

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I promise I'll blog at least twice a week so you are up to date with my life (well, I promise my mom and Nana, They are really the only ones who read my blog avidly).

I send love to all from here in the Happy Valley Bubble, (or as you guys know it...Provo, Utah.)

P.s. I started something new. There is a "Quote of the Week" over on the side bar, just for fun. You guys know how I am with my quotes! (:

Ghettoblaster

It's been quite a rough week. A very long week.

Sunday, I spent all day working on my Biology Research Paper on how PKR enzymes affect Alzeheimer's and other neurological diseases relating to memory loss. A very interesting topic, but the big words after reading about 10 research journals and articles just about killed me. Since it was just a pregrade rough draft, I didn't work that hard on it, but it took a ton of effort because I had to be all scientific and precise....Turns out I could have put less effort into it because my TA replied to my email saying I didn't have to make any changes except for a few grammar issues. GAAAAAAH. I spent probably....10 hours on that stupid thing. At least I know I'll be earning an A on it.

Monday: I had the ward talent show. If you haven't see my performance....here it is. Cool thing is, the woman that sings this song originally (April Smith) saw my tweet about doing a cover of her song and she's now following me on Twitter! I felt like a rockstar (:
But after this long 2 hour talent show, I spent another....5 hours on my Writing Essay on how social media affects individuals during Presidential Campaigns. (Probably the worst topic I could pick after an election) Yeah. Two late nights in two days....it was terrible.

Tuesday: Terrible. I had no motivation. I was in a bad mood. I was tired. I ended up taking a walk in the freezing cold that night to my favorite spot on campus (Well one of two), the clock tower, and just sitting there like a loner, but enjoying the fresh air. It was a rough day for me.

Wednesday: The beginning of my sassy pants streak. Since then, I have been in a total mood. Well actually not really. I was just being normal for all those who know me from home. I was just showing everyone how sarcastic and quick witted I can be. My real personality is starting to show...I don't know why it decided to show up all the sudden...It may because I'm getting a little impatient with everything that is going on...I need a vacation...

But I did get the idea to randomly build a tower of cardboard boxes with Kam. Don't ask. Really. I was bored. It looked like fun. 18 boxes later and we've got this baby....

Then after, I skyped Adriana for a good chunk of time. I miss my best friend quite a lot. I can't wait to get back to Woodland just to see her and of course the rest of my friends. It was good to talk to her for so long.

Thursday: Cleaning Checks are terrible. I hate them. We passed. But I had to clean the floor. Our floor is gross no matter how hard you try to clean it. You can't win.

Though I did get to talk to Abbie and Adriana, and Gladys for a bit that night on Skype. That was fun. Plus some boys from our Ward made us dinner. It was yummy! They are totally fun guys too.

Friday: Only one class:. Chemistry. (Writing was cancelled) In which my friends and I took funny pictures of ourselves, with fake mustaches made of our hair, the whole time...I know, not smart but lecture was just so boring.

No more Gym Kids for the rest of the semester because it ended last week. (Can't wait for it to start up again next semester!) I came home, after treating myself to Jamba, and made muffins. Not just any Muffins but Jordan's recipe for Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Spice Muffins. Yeah they were as good as they sound. I made about 30 of them and took them to friends' apartments.

I got to go visit some friends I haven't seen in a long time, plus Jordan's friends, Reilly, Ryan, Brant and Jono. They are such great guys! It was really nice to visit with them after not seeing them for a while.

Later, I went to bowl and play billiards on a group date. Two things I learned from that date: I am terrible at bowling and I am awful at pool. Seriously. I got the lowest score at bowling and my first shot in pool, the ball shot OFF the table...Yeah. It was bad.

The rest of the night Kam, Lauren and I spent hanging out with Kalin, Jake and Blake. We played a few games, had a jam session with my uke and Kalin's guitar, and played Foosball. It was fun!

Saturday: Girls Day Out. All of us girls from 217 went to Cafe Rio and enjoyed some yummy food. Then Nat had to leave us, but we went to see Breaking Dawn. Jake ended up taking Nat's ticket and joining us girls on our day out. It wasn't a terrible movie. Quite interesting how they changed it up but yeah. Not bad!

Then we went and window shopped and looked at cute stuff and picked out awful clothing and tried to figure out why anyone would wear such terribly tasteless clothing....It was fun!

Now we're all just chilling. I got to talk to my parents, I may (or may not) do some homework, I sorta want to paint my nails and then we might go watch the football game at our friends' apartment later. Still not sure what may happen tonight but that has been my week. It's been long, but things are getting better. I cannot wait for Thanksgiving break. I am SOOOOOOOO excited. Can you tell? It'll be that much closer to Finals then Christmas break and I can GO HOME.

btw. Do you know what a boombox is called in German?
A ghettoblaster....That's what my TA told me on Wednesday. Just randomly. He felt like I need to know that tid bit of information. I thought you would be interested in knowing.

Let it Snow

Holy Cow.
It snowed. Not like a ton, but it stuck this time! It's so much fun. It's cold. I keep saying that snow would be better if it wasn't so cold. But it's still pretty awesome.

\

I was glued to our window after classes. Kam caught my excitement on camera. I just couldn't believe it. The last time I had seen snow actually fall and stick around was when I was 14 at Christmas when we stayed up at our Cabin in Lake Tahoe for a few weeks.

So I think I've made up my mind. I love snow. Playing in it, (I need my snow pants and gloves though), walking around at night in it, just enjoying it. HOWEVER, trying to get to class in it...not so fun. My shoes were soaked. I've been wearing my actual snow boots, my vans and Uggs are NOT cutting it. No more Toms or Flip Flops for me. I've gone into full 5 layer mode. 2 Sweaters, an undershirt, t shirt, then a scarf and long thick socks (so my boots stay on my feet). Then when I have extra time, my knit headband and gloves. I wear my hair up, bangs pulled back (mostly because I desperately need a haircut and I'm scared to have anyone but Jennifer cut it) and I go out in the snow and brave it! It's great!

I have yet to fall! I've slipped quite a few times but maintained my balance enough to stay on my feet. Let's hope I keep this up because the last thing I need to do is injure myself.

The last few days have been really great though. Oh and I got my first letter from Jordan! You could say I was excited (:

Last night I went to Divine Comedy with Adam. The show was so awesome and of course hilarious. I love Divine Comedy, it was fun to finally see them live (not just on Youtube). Then we went back to his apartment and played Super Smash Bros. with his roommates. I actually WON once. Let me tell you, I'm awful at this game but I actually beat Dallin (The reigning champion of their apartment). I was very proud of myself. After that, we went out and played in the snow. It was great!

Today, I went on a photo scavenger hunt with Dave. We were competing against a bunch of other couples. We came up short with the points but it was totally fun!
Since then, I've been cleaning my room. I washed my blankets and sheets, went through my closet and desk and organized. I'm going to work on some homework here in a bit (I've unfortunately got quite a bit to do). Later tonight we're going to Marcie and Natalie's grandmother's house for dinner before the football game then we'll go freeze our butts off at the game! I'm excited. It's been a few great days. Busy as ever but good (:

So yeah, I'm doing great! Just need to get through this week and then I've got Thanksgiving break to look forward to! I'm so excited. I'll be that much closer to finals (Unfortunately) and Christmas Break. I can't wait to go home and see my family and friends! (:

I still need to figure out home I'm getting home though...
Oh and this is a random video I found. Sorta awkward. "Say hi to your family" as I'm eating my Ramen.... Just thought it would be fun to post. Thanks Jackson for your random recordings! (:

Flashback

Oh goodness gracious. You're never going to guess what I found.
I found my old Photobucket account. I found the best/worst pictures from Jr. and High School.

Oh my, some of those pictures! So funny! It's so fun to look at the them all. After my computer crashed, I thought they were lost forever! Most of them are in a really small format from when I posted them on Myspace way back in the day...but they are still totally awesome (:

In other news, I'm in a grand mood. I'm having a really good day. I've been procrastinating working on my essay...but I'm feeling great! Aced my Chem test, my essay for writing isn't due tomorrow anymore, I only have my seminar tonight (in which I'll be doing nothing but probably Facebooking, looking at Pinterest, or if I feel motivated, working on my essay) and then we have a Zumba activity tonight for Relief Society.

And it's super windy here today so all the leaves are blowing out of the trees, it looks so amazing. I just want to dance around in them....but people may look at me weird.

I do really love life! I'm busy as ever, but I don't have time to stress or worry. I'm too busy smiling and laying in my comfy bed on my downtime! The cold weather makes me want to be all comfy all the time (:

Tomorrow I've got class, then Gym Kids! After, I'm going to bake pumpkin spice cookies (Jordan's Recipe!), visit some friends hopefully, go to the Writing Center, then going to a Divine Comedy show with Adam. Plus, it's supposed to snow tomorrow!

Saturday I'm going on a Photo Scavenger hunt, doing homework, visiting some other friends hopefully, going to Marcie and Nat's grandmother's house for dinner then go to the Football Game.

If all goes like I've currently got it planned, then it'll be a great weekend! (I'm sure it'll be good no matter what though)
I'm not really stressed, I cannot wait for the next two weeks. I've got Thanksgiving break to look forward to, along with aWard Talent Show next week that I'm performing in, I get to hear from Jordan hopefully next week via snail mail!

I'm just trying to get through the days as well as I can. It's all about perspective! If I keep myself busy, all will be well (:

Busy Bee

What a long few days it has been.

Monday we went to our Second Counselor's house for dinner with our FHE group.
Oh my goodness. It was so yummy! We were totally spoiled. Brother Howe and his family were so kind to have us over and treat us like family. We ate a wonderful home cooked meal, I got to play with their dog, Rockie, (I miss my Marley-Moo!) and we played a game that is like Catch Phrase mixed with Charades. It was such a fun night!

Tuesday was not so terrible. I did get lost trying to ind the computer lab for Writing, but after I walked over to the Wilk to send a letter, got breakfast then sat in the hall as always before Chem. Took my Chem quiz, probably Aced it! (Not kidding), went to the devotional, then Bio. Bio lab got out an hour early so I did my Chemistry reading, got it done by 4!

Chemistry has actually been making sense. And I've been going in to get help when I don't understand things so I'm feeling really confident for a change. Bs and As on all my in class quizzes! It's nice!

After that, I went home and hung out for a bit. Made myself walk to the Creamery because I had NO food for dinner. (That took a lot of motivation because I was super tired and my bed was oh-so-comfy) I ended up having a great talk with the cashier, he totally made my day with how nice he was. I got home though and decided I didn't want to cook. Instead, I went to the Cannon Center with Marcie, Natalie, and Kam. They were having Indian Food (sort of)! Reminded me of the little Indian restaurant we have on the corner by our house in Woodland. Not as good, but made me homesick. Especially after texting my mama a bit. ( I miss my family.)

Tried to work on my homework, but that was a fail because the election was making me frustrated. I will say nothing more about it though. I'm so bummed my absentee ballot never came. I don't know what Yolo County's issue is. I did EXACTLY what they told me to do but NOOOO. Jensen isn't allowed to vote I suppose. Not that my vote would have counted much... Ergh!

Moving on, today was good. Another solid quiz grade in Chem. Bio was another guest lecture so I tuned out. (Seriously it is pointless) I worked on my writing essay instead so I was still productive! And tried to find cheap transportation for my trip home at Christmas. I came home and did laundry. (Another thing that took motivation because I was soooo comfy Went to Book of Mormon (Fell asleep in Book of Mormon). Stayed on Campus to do my Chemistry problems.

Went home and watched The Walking Dead (Bad idea because of course it scared me) Then went on a date with Seth! He's super cool. We got Ice Cream then just talked. It was really great! (:

Now I'm home. By myself :( Blasting my music, putting off working on my essay and deciding on whether I'm really hungry or not...Can't figure it out.

But yes. I've been busy. And the rest of this week and weekend is going to continue to be nothing but busy.

Yippee Skippee.

I realllly cant get over how cool Kam is. Her coolness exceeds Chuck Norris's.  And I love Chuck Norris.  And she might know the password to my computer:)

Tears + Failure < Puppy

These last few days have been a little rough. Actually that's an understatement...a lot rough. Really difficult.

Not only was I trying to prepare for an awful Chemistry test, but I also was preparing to say goodbye to Jordan, as he went back on his mission for his last seven months.

I was on campus both Tuesday and Wednesday from like 8/9am till about 7pm. It was terrible. I got done with classes then I would work on my Chemistry homework in the lab, then I'd go to a review session, then I'd go home. I ate on campus so many times. It was no bueno.

It was super frustrating because I was tired, and I didn't understand hardly any of the concepts (until finally on Wednesday) and I missed Halloween Festivities because all my teachers piled on the homework for Thursday. Halloween is like my favorite holiday too. So yeah. I was bummed.

Lots of people dressed up at school though. I thought was pretty cool. I wore my Halloween cat vest, that was about all the Halloween excitement I got.

Thankfully, I did get to Skype Jordan most of the day on Thursday because I got my homework done early. However, saying goodbye was the worst! I'm going to miss him. But I invested in some stamps and envelopes! I'll be writing!

Friday had it's ups and downs. I got done with classes at 10, home by 11 after doing a Chemistry lab. I skipped Gym Kids because I was so tired. I took a 3 hour nap then studied (well attempted to study) chemistry for like 5 hours. Then Natalie decided she wanted to go to Walmart, so Marcie, Lauren and I accompanied her. I got some snacks and grapes! (YAY for Fruit!) After we made a run to Wendy's where Josh, Ty, Kade, and Eric met up with us. We observed some cheerleaders, grabbed Kid Meal Toys out of the trash...pretty much didn't act like college kids but it was fun. Came back to the apartment and of course watched Youtube Videos like every other typical Friday night for us.

Saturday, I woke up, put on my spiderman sweater, my cute headband that Jordan's sister made for me, and went to study Chemistry with my friend, Italu, for a good 4 hours before we took the test. Feeling confident I went to take the test at about noon and BAM...Failed of course. Chemistry never fails to surprise me. All my friends said the test was hard and without a doubt it was. I hate Chemistry.

After though, Morghan came over and she rented a puppy. Yes. RENTED A PUPPY. Best $15 ever spent. The little fluff ball just played and played, it was the cutest thing. Eventually it got too tired and fell asleep. Puppy Love (:

That night was a bust. I watched Grimm, Modern Family, Walking Dead and New Girl....Then went to bed. Yepp. That was the first night I hadn't had Jordan to talk to on the phone or any plans at all. It was depressing.

Sunday was good. I bore my testimony in Church, Sunday school lesson was good and Relief Society was good too but mostly because Kam and I were talking. She's the best roomie. I love her!
We went to a Fireside and now I'm hoping we go to Tunnel Singing. I haven't been in a few weeks!

So in the spirit of Thanksgiving (And trying to be positive through this rough week), I'm grateful for my amazing family, friends and roommates. They've helped me a lot in the last week. They are always there to help pick me back up. I love them so much. I'm one lucky girl (:

Now, I hope you are smiling, but if you aren't here is a picture of the cutest puppy in the world. (:

Moles and Skulls

Like how it rhymed?

That's today's theme.

Moles. Not the annoying ones that are like in your garden and are really ugly. The ones you measure in Chemistry.

Skulls. Our Bio lab consisted of measuring different animal (and human replica) skulls. We were making them talk. It was super confusing what we had to do with the data we collected but still fun to play with them.

Moving on....

I have a Chemistry exam this weekend. I'm really not looking forward to it. I'm actually writing my blog during the review session because the TA I can actually understand goes over all the concepts I know. The TA that has a heavy accent keeps explaining the harder concepts that I don't get. WHY!?!

At least there is a review session tomorrow, too, with the other TAs. Plus I'll be going to the TA hours, and I will actually have time to go get help in the tutor lab!

Unfortunately, it'll be Halloween and I'll have to miss out on the PJ party I got invited too, but I really need to get a passing grade on this next exam or else my grade is going down.....

Today, I've been on campus since 8am. I won't be leaving till probably 8pm. 12 HOURS.
I've got some Chem homework to look over and I'm going to eat dinner on campus. I could use a nap.

But noooooo.

I have to pick my classes at midnight tonight, so I'll be up. Trying to figure out my classes for Winter Semester, fighting for a seat, trying not be to waitlisted. Also, I'll be studying for my Book of Mormon test tomorrow....That I forgot about....Don't think I'm irresponsible though because even my Professor forgot!

I need sleep. I can't wait for this week to be over.

I love Fall (PG)

Fall.
The leaves are brown, red, yellow and orange.
The sunset is blue, purple, pink and orange.
Pumpkins are orange.
But one of my favorite things about October has to be the World Series.
The best part about the World Series this year?
The Giants were in it, swept the series for a WIN!

Yeah. I couldn't be happier!!
You may be from California if your newsfeed on Facebook is filled with statuses about the Giants.
You may be from NorCal if your SoCal friends hate your guts right now because the Dodgers didn't make it to the World Series (: Oh well!

It's terrible though. No one in Utah is interested in Baseball because they only have a Triple A team, The Bees. I caused and scene in my Book of Mormon class today when my friend, who's a Dodger's Fan, told me to sarcastically go away because I was sporting my Buster Posey shirt! Everyone in the class was staring at us like we were total freaks, talking about some foreign sport....

Yeah. It was a little awkward.

But anyways. This weekend was a complete dud.
The dance was not as fun as I had hoped. It was lame. I got all dressed up for nothing. I was frustrated.

Saturday, I didn't do much at all. We didn't end up renting a puppy. Kam, Jake, Kalin and I went to play tennis for a while. I was not playing that well, but it was fun. Josh, ended up meeting us down there. We played for about 3 hours then they all came over and I made them dinner.

On Sunday, we (all 6 roommates) went over to Marcie's house in Lehi for dinner! It was so yummy. We got to jump on her Trampoline, and play scattagories.
The whole way over to her house though I was glued to the window like a puppy. I love the homes in Utah. They are so adorable!

So yeah, disappointed in my weekend. Definitely was looking forward to having some fun, but oh well.

Today was okay. I've got quite a bit of homework to get done so I can get ahead of schedule in order for my week.

The best part of today consisted of my Bio lecture. We had a guest professor come and talk to us about Reproduction and Genetic Variation. He used words like "Bro," "Dude," "Man." He was just on a roll. He kept making jokes about all the concepts.

These jokes are PG. Seeing as they are all talking about reproduction.

If you don't want to get ripped off, you gotta use your noodle.
(Talking about choosing a mate)

The male is the one that picks the female because he cares, she just goes bowling or something.
(Talking about how the guy is the "choosier" mate, or more invested)

When you hook up, you're looking to make some mutants.
(Talking about how a child's DNA can be mutated from something different then its parents)

You gotta shuffle the deck a bit to get some variation.
(Talking about Genetic Variation)

Girls, why hook up with some dumb guy? Why give up just half your genome? Just clone yourself.
(
Talking about how girls are smarter, so they should just reproduce asexually)

Girls, GIANT egg. Males, tiny sperm. Girls, GREATLY invested. Guys, hardly invested.
(Being "invested" in offspring, the caring for them)

That is not even all the jokes, those are the more appropriate ones. He had great lines all of class. My friend and I couldn't stop laughing. She has a bunch more of the jokes written in her notes as well. Oh I hope he teaches class again on Wednesday!

Anyways, I hope you found humor in my Biology jokes. You probably didn't...Oh well.
I'm off to get frustrated at my Chemistry homework, as always.

Let's Dance?

So yesterday and today have been pretty grand.

It snowed yesterday! It wasn't as bad as I thought. I sort of liked it, even though I was freezing my butt off! It didn't stay for very long. It snowed in the morning, afternoon and that night. Kam and I ran outside that night without shoes (not the smartest but we had just painted our nails) and danced in it! It was so great (:

Since Learning Suite and the Library Search Engine were down, I wasn't able to do my homework. I found I was able to be productive by doing my nails. My left hand = candy corn. My right hand = pumpkins. My toes = black with red glitter. I went a little crazy, but what else is new? (:

My Giants won yet AGAIN! I love my boys. Don't even try to call me a band-wagoner. I promise you I've been watching the games since I was a baby, with my dad, on the couch. BEAT THAT. I've even got a Posey shirt so HAH. Nice try.

I went to Gym Kids (the program where I get to play with kids that have disabilities) yesterday and today. Yesterday, I had two little girls that hardly left my side. Except for when they wanted to play tag. We ran around and around that gym. One of them kept diving underneath the parachute just as they were waving it down so I couldn't go under! I don't know how she did it, but her timing was spot on!

Today, I had a little girl that just wanted to walk around the gym. We'd walk and walk, then stop, she'd have me read her book to her, she'd point at the pictures, get all excited when there was the lady bug page, then we'd walk around some more. However, then she saw that other kids were being pulled around on the Parachute like a sled....20 minutes later my arms were sore from pulling not only her, but three other kids on the parachute. Other volunteers helped but it was quite the job! Totally rewarding though (:

I got home from classes today at noon. I just hung out for a bit, watched Modern Family, ended up falling asleep (I haven't been sleeping well at night) and then woke up to make banana muffins from scratch! They are cooling right now; hopefully they turned out yummy!

Later tonight there is a Stake Halloween dance. The theme is Super Heros and Zombies...But I'm going as a Cat Lady...Yeah I know. Why not Spiderman or Peter Pan (Two costumes I've wanted to be for quite some time)? Because I found this sweet Halloween vest with Cats on it and a bunch of other Halloween symbols and I'm gonna wear my nerd glasses, crazy fun make-up and my bright teal pants. Just for fun (:

I'm really looking forward to that. Look for pictures soon (:
I'm off to try my muffins and make some dinner.
Maybe play my uke?
Happy Friday! :D

What happened to Fall?

I went to Urgent Care today.
Finally after 3 weeks of a cold, that progressively got worse, I gave in and went to the Student Health Center.
They are treating me for a Sinus Infection. That means I'm on Antibiotics. Yippee Skippee.
Bleeh.

In other news, it snowed this morning. It didn't stay but the mountain tops are white! It's coming!
It's sort of eerie because you can see the clouds making their way towards the campus. Like fog in a scary movie, it just starts moving towards you and then your trapped! It's completely freezing. I wore my boots, jeans, sweatshirt and a jacket. My nose has been bright red all day!

I'm worried about this snow. I love snow. Don't get me wrong. I rather it be cold then hot. However, I know me and my clumsiness. I just know I'm going to fall multiple times before this semester is over. I'm going to not see a patch of ice and BAM, my butt will be cold, wet and bruised.

It's going to be great :P

Seriously though...What happened to Fall? We got a good like 3 weeks of it then BAM. Hello Winter. No me gusta.

Tonight will consist of homework, Chem and Writing research. Kam is heating up a lasagna her mom gave her for dinner tonight. I'm really looking forward to it! I'm thinking early to bed, but of course, I'll have to have some Hot Apple Cider (Courtesy of Jordan, he put so many packets in my care package!) and hang out with my lovely roommates. (:

I may have been in a crummy mood a lot lately, but my roommates always make me smile and laugh. I love them!

Oh and by the way here is a public service announcement....In the spirit of Halloween.
I thought you should know this is how all your carved pumpkins feel. Depressed.

Terrible Tuesday Musica

I haven't been sleeping well.
I'm still sick.
It's cold.
So cold it may snow.
My jaw hurts.
And today was an 8-3 Terrible Tuesday.
I came home at 5pm.
Ate a pomagranate.
Went to the Creamery with Nat.
Then played my uke.
That made all the difference.

Not the best. Not the worst.
But here is my cover of 1901 by Phoenix (Birdy's Version). I sound breath-y. But that's because I can't breathe through my nose! And I messed up the words... Oh well. I don't do this often. So here goes nothing.

Step on ALL the Leaves

I sort of stole my blog title from a friend on Facebook, but that is seriously how I feel.
I LOVE FALL. Campus is so pretty. The only reason I liked Woodland was because of the Fall weather but Provo...Provo has Woodland beat. The trees, the mountains, the sky. Reds, Oranges, Browns, Yellows. It's beautiful. It's so wonderful walking through campus, stepping on the leaves and feeling the satisfying crunch underneath my foot. Ahh! I love it! (:

So this weekend was pretty grand :)

Friday:
I went to adaptive aquatics. I had a disabled girl that gave me a bit of a challenge but I still had a smile on my face when I left the program. Something about working with these kids is just so rewarding, I love it!

I then went to take my Chem test. I did fairly well. I'm still waiting to see what I got on it. I went back to study for my Bio test. But before that, I picked up my two care packages! And to s
One was from my Aunt Angela, Uncle Steve and Taylor! It was great. Everything in it had to go along with the letters in October. Oreos, Chapstick, Trick or Treat (Candy), Orbit gum, Basket, Energy Bars, Rainy Day($). It was so creative!

The other was from Jordan! He's so sweet. He sent me a ton of apple cider, medicine for my cold, a Spiderman blanket (You could imagine my excitement) and a bunch of other little goodies.

I am loved. I definitely get more care packages than any other student here at BYU. I am such a lucky girl!

After studying (cramming) for 3 hours, I went to take my Bio test. I got an 84% on the multiple choice!!!! That is the first scantron test I've taken and actually passed! I beat the testing center! It isn't so intimidating anymore. I can actually do this! (:

You could imagine the smile on my face after all those activities, but then it continued. Lauren, Marcie, Kam and I went to the DI (A church thrift store). We met up with Kalin, Josh and Blake. We all went searching for ridiculous clothing and Halloween costumes. It was quite the adventure. I ended up snagging a trendy Halloween vest with cats all over it. I'm going to wear it to the Halloween dance on Friday, I'm going as a cat lady... The boys snagged a $35 couch for their apartment so they would have more seating for the football game parties in their dorm. There were surprises underneath the cushions!

Seeing as the boys walked, the couch ended up being transported back to the apartments in Lauren's truck. The boys took a while to walk back so we lounged in the back of the truck, on the couch, eating popcorn and rocking out to my uke playing. (I've started making my own songs up on the fly...they are quite interesting)

We spent the rest of the night with the boys. We went over and watched the Woman in Black (which scared the heck out of us) and then having a dance party of sorts out in the parking lot. It was quite the Friday night.

Saturday:
We were up early to hike the ward. I just about died. I rolled out of bed right at 9 (the time we were supposed to be leaving) so I was tired, my cold was acting up, and I was not used to the altitude, but I did it! Lauren and I were at the back of the pack together, pushing through our pain but we did it! It was totally worth it.

The rest of Saturday was relaxing. Took a nap. Watched the game. Learned three songs on the uke. However, we did make a trip to Walmart. We got some food. Trolled the clearance rack for some good finds. And got some other great things (:

Then we just had a roommate night. It was quite fun!

Sunday:
Nothing special. Church. Nap. Dinner. Homework. Sleep.

Today has been good. I'm very tired because I couldn't fall asleep. I've got quite a bit of homework but everything is going smoothly so it should work out pretty well and maybe I can catch up some sleep? (Doubt it but I can always hope!)

I'm going to try to start blogging every day again. It's been pretty tough but I'm sure I can do it! (:

Sick of being Sick

It's the truth. I'm sick of being sick. I've had a stupid cough for a few months now, but now that is has gotten worse, and my nose is stuffy and I am tired all the time. I'm just done with this cold!

Anyways, this week has been really busy. And just overall, no bueno. I have two tests tomorrow, Bio and Nomenclature for Chem. Tuesday was indeed Terrible. I've had trouble getting out of bed. I have little motivation to put on cute clothes in the mornings because it's so freaking chilly. Cleaning Check is today. (My new perfume-Comet).

However, I have managed to get 100% on my Chem quizzes this week. I got to go to Adaptive Aquatics today and play with the kids! My little guy today, all he wanted to do was play Peek-A-Boo and walk around holding my hand and the other volunteer that was working with me. His speech wasn't clear, but his laugh was all I needed to know he was enjoying himself (:

Kam today said that "My smile is one that makes people's day." Totally made my day! I'm really stressed but I can't stop smiling today. It's fall. I'm wearing my favorite brown sweater. I may have to pull an all nighter...but my roommates and I are going down to the Cannon Center for dinner so we won't have to dirty our clean kitchen to make dinner. It may be expensive but I'm seriously going to eat well tonight (:

I have one more class, my Health Professions Seminar, that I'm just going to study in. I still have about 200 practice problems for my Nomenclature test to work through. I still have to study for my Bio exam. But, I'm really not freaking out.

Tomorrow: I get to go play with the kids at Gym Time again for Adaptive Aquatics. I seriously LOVE this service project. But after that, I do have to take 2 tests. (I'll be studying in between!) However, after that...I'm going to the creamery...Turning on Modern Family or some other show I need to catch up on and SLEEPING. Doesn't matter if it is like 8pm on a Friday night. I am going to get some rest.

Wish me luck as I brave the testing center twice in one day tomorrow (:

Autumn is Calling

So I've just been crazy busy, it's a little insane.

Friday night I went to the Homecoming Dance with a big group. Adam actually asked me but it was my whole FHE guy group that went. Kam went with Axel! We went out to dinner, walked around the trophy room, broke a mannquin's arm off...then fixed it, went to the casual dance and then played catch phrase!

The dance was super fun. It was just a casual but a bunch of people dressed up all crazy. Kam and I made up for our lack of colorful dress by dancing crazy. Also, during a song of Kesha's, she sings "Throw some glitter make it rain..." Well someone made it rain glitter and Kam and I went crazy with it. We put it all over ourselves, each other, and of course our friends. (I'm still finding glitter in my hair, and my ears...) It was totally fun.

Saturday, I wasn't feeling 100% so I didn't get to go to the Homecoming Parade. However, our FHE brothers did make Kam and I breakfast. It was quite yummy. Afterwards, we met up with Blake and went over to the game. 4 hours later, we lost. It was such a good game till we made silly errors and Oregon caught 3 interceptions. We had a chance of winning!!

After the game, I ended up going over to Blake's apartment to hang out with him and his roommates. Kam came by later and we all watched The Italian Job. It was a good movie! Later that night, Kam and I went to see Tarron to say hi. I skyped Jordan, and Justin Irby (Or you can call him loser, that is what he calls me!).

It was nice to catch up with Justin. I miss him and his loserness. (I'm just kidding, it's an inside joke. He's really not a loser...) It seems like he is enjoying Cal Poly!

Sunday, I was lazy. I made pancakes before church but took my sweet time getting ready. Church did end up being great. Erik, our Elder's Quorum President, told us ladies in the Relief Society "Don't be the girl guys look at, be the girl they look for." LOVE IT. Probably my new favorite quote.

After church I made myself an entire meal, I needed some comfort food. I then got working on cupcakes for Lauren's birthday. Karina and I tried making Zebra striped cupcakes....They didn't really work.

However, come Monday they ended up being just fine. I decorated them so they looked like beach scene! Our FHE boys decorated their apartment for Family Home Evening and we had a little party for her. Pizza, card games, sweets. The whole nine yards. It was really fun! Afterwards, Axel and I, and Kam and Jaron all went to get ice cream! It was very eventful Monday night.

Today has been rough. But of course, it is Terrible Tuesday. I am almost done with all my homework that is due tomorrow though. I just have to read some chapters in the Book of Mormon. Then I'm going to work on other homework that will be due through out the week. I've been pretty productive.

The weather is so wonderful here. It is definitely fall (:

Check Facebook for new pictures! I've posted quite a few. They are great. Especially the ones from last night...Kam and I stole Axel's camera. Note to everyone, don't let me have your camera...You'll end up with some really great pictures on it! (:

I see Blue People.

Did you know that the reason Mormons are so hot is because there are so many flavors of us? Yeah. According to some writer, "Mormons come in many varieties, just like Doritos and Supreme Court Justices."
Read the article here....
http://www.stgeorgeutah.com/news/archive/2012/02/09/why-are-mormons-so-hot/

Anyways, the last few days have been busy.

Tuesday was my long day. Class from 8-3. Then I was back on campus to do a lab at 4pm with Nathan. I did get a care package from my Grandma Krause! I loved it. However, I think my whole family is conspiring against me. They are trying to get me to gain the freshman 15. THEY KEEP SENDING ME CANDY. I have sooooooo much. It's a bit ridiculous but then again, I love it, my roommates love it, and so do the boys that come over or are in our ward.

Also on Tuesday, for anyone that saw my Facebook, I was indeed hacked...While sitting right next to the person who took over my Facebook. My laptop was open and Kalin decided to take advantage of that fact and post a status and pick up lines all over his wall as me...people probably think I'm crazy. Oh well. But Kalin, Jake, and Josh were over for a bit that night after they went running with Kam. It's always a party in 217.

Wednesday was awesome. I only had two classes. Book of Mormon was cancelled. So I went to Chem and Bio, then I had a conference with my writing teacher. No problem. DONE by Noon! Then I met up with Marcie, Lauren, Natalie, and Mandy (Lauren's friend) and we all went to the major fair.

Yepp. I'm thinking of changing my major. I never want to take another Chemistry class ever again. I just can't do it.

Anyways, after the major fair they were giving out free pizza in Brigham Square! SCORE. So Lauren, Mandy and I all got pizza before heading back to our apartment where Kam had more pizza waiting. We hung out for a bit, then I proceeded to fall asleep on the Couch (tiny love seat, it was so uncomfortable). Then I woke up, and it was time to play tennis!

Kam, Jake, Josh and I went down to the BYU courts to play for a bit. It was quite fun. Definitely enjoy playing with them. We all (well minus Jake and adding Kalin) went down to the True Blue football and Foam Slides. It was crazy. There was a slide, and a pit, of just blue foam, and we got to blue in it. Just wait for the pictures. It was awesome. Except parts of my body are still dyed blue. Kam and I were were told we make good Avatars though. Possible Halloween costumes? I think so. (Check Facebook later for photos of the blueness)

Afterwards, Kam and I tried getting all the blue off ourselves. The poor bathroom was a complete mess. Good thing cleaning checks are next week. We've got time to get all the blue off the showers and floor!

Then I went over to see Axel open his mission call. He's going to the Ukraine, and will be speaking Russian! I'm so excited for him. It's sad though, half of our ward isn't going to be here this next semester!!! :(

The rest of the night I made dinner (yeah, I didn't eat till like 8pm), helped Jaron make copies, called Grandma Krause, attempted to do my Chem homework (that made no sense), talked to Jordan then went to bed. I was nice and warm last night with my heating blanket. My dad sent it to me, along with a Giants Rally Towel. My blanket will  definitely come in handy in the coming weeks. People are saying it's going to snow soon. I'm worried!

Today I'm tired and sick. My cold has finally caught up with me. My body is sore. My cough is getting worse. My nose is stuffy. And I couldn't be more tired. But I still have one more class tonight at 5. Then it's Chem homework, some essay time, then BED.

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday.

In other news, GIANTS are going to the NLCS! (National League Championship Series!) I freaking love my boys! Especially Posey. He's my fave (:

All Smiles (:

What a weekend. I probably got a total of....12 hours of sleep this whole weekend, between Friday to Sunday night?

I don't regret it at all though :)

Friday afternoon was busy. I cleaned, did laundry, went to the Creamery with Tarron. I went to my Service Project for the first time!! My goodness it was amazing. Playing with the kids was so wonderful. They all have some sort of disability but they are all so adorable and sweet. My kid this week was named Caleb. We played with the giant parachute, threw balls on it so they would fly back up and then we'd do it over and over again. Then this other volunteer, Josh, joined me and we continued to play with Caleb when he decided I was a monster. So Josh put Caleb on his shoulders and I chased them around as if I was a scary monster. Then we colored and taught Caleb how to write some numbers on the clocks we drew. He also drew a great picture of me, as a monster. I loved it (:

Later I ended up buying a router and setting up WiFi for our apartment! It's so nice! Our Router's name is Kim Possible for reasons that unfortunately you guys do not get to hear about :)

I went to the game that night with Kam. We had trouble finding my seat. You'd think they'd put signs up to direct you to the upper portals to the stadium seats but they don't! We went up and sat with Tarron and his roommates and watched the game. It was a bit boring, but Kam and I did enjoy ourselves because we got foam spirit sticks as we were walking around trying to find our seats. They were FREEEEE (Yay for College and Free Stuff!) We left at halftime though because it was freezing.

We ran home and made some hot chocolate and invited Jaron over. Kam ended up falling asleep but Jaron and I talked for a bit. I think I scared him a bit though because I had way too much energy and was practically bouncing off the walls. Thankfully he doesn't think I'm too weird though!

Later that night, I ended up meeting up with Jordan. It was so nice to finally get to see him! We talked for quite sometime until we about froze at about...3am? Yeah. It was really wonderful to just to talk to him in person instead of on the phone or Skype!

Saturday morning, he came over to watch conference with me. Karina made us chocolate chip pancakes! (All of our roommates were gone this weekend! It was a quiet in 217 which was so weird!) Jordan and I walked over to his Mission friend's apartment and watched the afternoon session with them. Then came back and he helped me with my Book of Mormon essay on Isaiah. I'm so grateful that Jordan's knowledge of the gospel and his willingness to help me my assignments. His understand of the scripture readings for that class has helped a lot. I don't know what I'd do without him!

While Jordan was at Priesthood session, I took a nap and played my uke. He and his mission friend, Reilly, came by afterwards to pick me up and we went to get dinner at Subway. We walked back to their apartment and all hung out for a while. Then the three of us decided to go see Spiderman at the dollar theater  (I love Spiderman...and Andrew Garfield♥). After the movie we went back to their apartment and hung out for a bit longer then Jordan walked me home.

Once we got back to my apartment, we again talked till like 3am. He is a talker and I am a listener so it just works out very well. Though, he wasn't the only one talking; I could talk to him for hours. We talk about everything!

Sunday, the same routine. He came over in the morning to watch conference here and then we went back to the apartment he was staying at. After that, we came back to my apartment so I could work on my homework. All my roommates eventually came back which was so nice because it wasn't so quiet with just Karina, Jordan and I. We all hung out for a bit, Tarron came by. Jordan played his guitar and I played my uke for a bit. It was very nice :)

Reilly came by and we were going to get a group to walk to the temple, but that fell through...So we ended up watching funny videos on Youtube for a couple of hours till Tunnel Singing! I made them come to tunnel singing with me. They said they enjoyed it, but I'm still not sure if they did. I loved it of course because it is just my favorite thing about Sundays!

After we went back over to their Apartment to hear their friend play some fun song on his guitar. Oh my goodness, their friend...he was a character! His songs were very original, it was fun!
Then Jordan walked me home. And again we stayed out talking, till 2am...

Yes. It was a school night. But my homework was done. I even got a 100% on my Chem quiz today. And I only fell asleep during Book of Mormon because everyone else was asleep as well.

It was a wonderful weekend. It made up for the awful one last week. I couldn't stop smiling. Jordan left today at noon. I got to go over and say goodbye before he left. I'm going to miss him!

After class today, I came home and took a 2 hour nap. It was so nice. Kam was home when I woke up and we had a incredible, deep talk. I'm so lucky to have such an amazing roommate that I get along with so well. I love her to death!

We all went to the Indexing Party for Family Home Evening. It was fun! We got Pizza! I missed Pizza. I hadn't had pizza in so long. Seems like a silly thing to miss, but pasta and sandwiches get old after a while. But now I'm here, typing my blog. Listening to Spotify,

Aubrey, my visiting teacher, actually just brought me a little treat and we talked for a bit. She's the sweetest! I'm so blessed to have the Relief Society President as my visiting teacher!

I need to do my Chem homework. Yes, I know it's late. But Chemistry is hard and I looked at my homework and it makes no sense. I'm going to the tutorial lab to get help with it tomorrow before class again. So I'm not a total procrastinator.

I can't say it enough, this weekend was wonderful. And today was just as great. I'm so blessed. I can't stop smiling. Really. I am happy (:

The only thing that could make me any happier would be if Chemistry made more sense!! Oh, and if it was a little warmer! This chilly Utah weather is kicking my butt. Our heater didn't work all weekend and just this afternoon did it start to work!!!! I still need to get another blanket though.

Anyways, yeah. Let's hope my smile keeps this week and the Utah weather doesn't freeze me (:

What is Sleep?

Hello, I've become one of those college students that doesn't get enough sleep. I'm done with all my exams but all my classes picked right back up so I still have about the same amount of work. That's why I've been MIA.

I'm already working on another essay for Writing (I hate my writing class so much. Seriously, I've had to rewrite parts of this essay multiple times because my professor is so confusing and keeps changing things on us.)

My Chem teacher is making us to a Inorganic Chemical Nomenclature project. (More memorization, Yippee Skippee. There is over 200 of them to learn how to name. There will be 50 of them on the test)

Bio is all genetics stuff so that is cake. Plus I found out I actually passed my exam! I saved myself with my free response questions. I'm an awful multiple choice test taker but I can explain my way to a passing grade!

I did the same for my Book of Mormon Test! I wouldn't have passed that one though if it weren't for my many tutors!!

Nothing too exciting has happened this week. This last weekend was pretty awful because of not doing so well on all my exams. I did get to play Tennis with Adam. It was really nice to finally got out there and play again. Adam was a good sport as he chased after all my vollies and lobs. Playing definitely helped me get out some of my frustration.

However, things got better on Monday. I got my second care package from my family. (I'm so spoiled and loved!) We decorated our apartment with our Halloween decor and Christmas Lights. And now I have enough candy to last me the rest of the semester. We went chalking and played Four Square (Yes, the recess game we all grew to love and miss very dearly. It was great!) for Family Home Evening with our boys. It was a nice day after a horrible weekend.

Tuesday, ehh. My long day. Not the best. I was frustrated. So when I got home after trying to do homework in the Wilk, I cleaned the kitchen. Like really cleaned it. Burners and everything. I didn't do the floor because that is a project for another day, but still. I scrubbed the counters down and the stove. I just couldn't take it anymore and my OCD kicked in. So yeah.

I helped with the Relief Society Sweet and Salty activity. It was quite the success. We ended up with the left over food :) My calling is Relief Society Meeting Coordinator. I work with Marcie, she's the 2nd counselor in RS, to help plan and take care of all the meetings that are not on Sunday.

Wednesday was notn exciting either. I worked on homework in the Wilk. 5 people have come and sat at my table with me...Only one has cared to strike up a conversation with me. He was very nice. His name was Dallin. We talked about Chemistry. Not my favorite topic but still, he was the only person who cared to ask me for my name.
Lauren and I went going shopping so I could finally get clothing. I spent a total of $40, but bought $90 worth of clothing. Aren't you proud of me? :)

Thursday, done with class at 11am. Hung out for a bit, watched Modern Family, took a nap, worked on homework. Went to my seminar at 5. Looked at Wireless Routers, worked on homework. Stalked people out the window with Lauren. Went to bed.

Today, I'm done with class now. I'm going to my Service Project at 11am till noon. Then I get to do homework, clean, do laundry and go to the game tonight! Hopefully I get to see Morghan while she's up here too!

This weekend is going to be fun because Jordan is going to be up here for conference! I can't wait to spend some time with him! :)

I promise I'll try to sleep more, and update my blog more often!! :)

Series of Unfortunate Events

Yesterday, was great. Class was done at 11. I saw a bunch of people I knew on my home. Got a nap in. Finished my Chem homework early. Went to my seminar. Found a possible career I want to pursue (Occupation Therapy) Hung out with some guys from my ward. Had a good DTR with the roomies (Define the Responsibilities, we discussed chores and cleaning and such). Procrastinated on some homework and went to bed.

Today. HAH. It was a roller coaster of good, bad and awkward.

I woke up 20 minutes before class. Found out I got a solid B on the essay that I pretty much put no effort into because it frustrated me so much. (Sorry, but it's the truth. I tried. But it was just so...stupid). Went to Chem. Then Kam told me I had received flowers!

Yeah, I couldn't concentrate after that. Ran home. (Good thing I did) Found out I got some wonderful flowers delivered :) Finally had time to shower and make myself look presentable to the world. Went to the Testing Center, feeling confident about my Bio test. Confidence was shot after the third question. Ended up not doing so hot. Ate my feelings in the form of a Subway Sandwich because I didn't feel like making myself a meal when I got back to the dorm. Tarron ended up treating me to Ice Cream. I've been moping around the dorm since then, feeling like a failure because I totally bombed a test in a subject that I really understand (or at least thought I did).

I skipped the game. Now i'm sitting here writing this. I'm going to study Chem. Play my uke. Make some dinner. And hang out with Kam once she gets back from doing her homework on campus.

Chem test in the morning. After that, we're going to the mall so I can buy clothing! (Example: NEW PANTS) and go to the DI and maybe the grocery store. But I'm really excited. And then that night, Adam and I are going to play Tennis which I'm super excited for since I haven't played in a month!

So yeah. Today needs to be over so I can get over a few bad and awkward moments. The flowers do help a lot though.

Anyways, don't let me get you down. Smile! And if you can't. Well...Here is a funny picture of a dog.

Positive Polly

The last few days have been tough. I've had a ton of homework and stuff to do.

Monday was the worst. Definitely did not enjoy Monday.
Tuesday. It was good. Surprisingly for it being my long day.
Today, today was better.

So I went to Writing on Tuesday. I didn't want to be there. I really didn't. About fifteen minutes in though, FIRE ALARM. Boom. Day = made. Fifteen minutes of class wasted as they evacuated the building. Got back into class with maybe fifteen, twenty minutes left. Did really talk about much and then my professor let us out 5 minutes early. AWESOME.

I went to Chem. Nothing exciting there. However, my TA showed us that we can run our hands over these holes in the concrete walls and it makes like a suction cup POP sound. It's super nifty. Definitely, didn't pass my quiz because the answer was an "exception" to the rule of Chemistry. Yeah. FYI. Everything is a freaking exception to a rule. Riddle me this...Why have rules if there are exceptions? Yeah. I don't know either.

I watched the Devotional. It was a big help. It was on "Being Positive in a Negative World." If you know me, you're probably thinking...Jensen...Negative?? No!! She's always smiling. Well I hate to break your little world, but I have been having trouble with trying to get through all this work. (I am feeling much better now though thanks to my lovely friends and roommates). So I am being positive again :)

Biology came next and it was the Fruit Fly lab! It was similar to the Lab we did in AP Bio so I just finished the homework super fast and got out of the lab an hour early. It felt so nice!! Seeing as I had extra time, I ran back to the dorm and took a quick nap. It felt so nice!

4-6, I went to a Chem review. Nate and I had trouble staying awake during it but I definitely got some good info out of it. Afterwards, I went back to my dorm. Kam and I went over to the creamery (I now have milk!!), we delivered cookies to our Visiting Teachies, got rushed out of the building for a fire alarm and hung out with Josh for a bit. (Kam made really bomb cookies by the way. I ate way tooooo many)

We also went and delivered cookies to friends around Heritage Halls. I played my uke around the parking lot. I don't know why I grabbed it on the way out the door. We visited with Kalin, Jake, Blake and Josh for a bit. They are all so fun.

I then took a walk to the Temple with Parker, Ray and their friend Nea. It was so nice to get to see the Temple and take an hour just to settle down and clear my mind. It was wonderful!

When I got back though, I worked on my Book of Mormon essay and called it a night at 11:30. Early!!

Today has just been good. I've been in a great mood :) Plus, Kam...Kam is just awesome. She fell back in her chair this morning and spilled her yogurt all over the floor. It was so funny. What does she say after she falls? "Take a picture!" Oh I did. And now all of our funny pictures have been posted on FB..well some of them (:

But yeah, class has been good today. I'm done but I have two review sessions today. Bio from 4-6, then Chem from 6-8. My brain is going to be fried. And I'm going to be starving. But that's okay. It's going to help me study for my exam!

Just gotta stay positive, right? (:

Get Sassy

I have been MIA because I've been super busy with homework. I have three exams this week. Quite a bit of stuff has happened. Good stuff. Frustrating stuff. And annoying stuff. This blog does include some rants...

Friday, I did a whole lot of nothing. I came home from Chem, cleaned, attempted to work on homework but couldn't, and sat in the window of course. Oh and called Maintenance...again.

I did go a Bio review session that ended up being a waste of time. I thought it would help answer my questions but it didn't. This Bio class is just like AP Bio. It's practically a review.

After, Marcie and I went to the creamery. We got a ton of food that we needed. (Yes. Oreos and chocolate pudding are a necessity in our apartment) We made dinner. I watched Glee. (You guys are all fired for not telling me that Glee was back on!) I played my uke for a bit. But then I started to feel sorta sick. My allergies were acting up.

Marcie's friends Logan, Mark, Josh, and Jackson ended up coming over and we all hung out for a bit. It was  "Get Sassy day" thanks to Logan. He believed I was wearing my "sassy pants." (He likes to write on our calendar. & Kam ended up drawing on him with the window markers.) We walked down to the Arts center area where we climbed on all the statues. (Don't think that's allowed but it was a lot of fun. There are pictures.). We went down to the practice rooms in the HFAC and listened to Mark play the piano. He is amaaaaazing! Then we returned back and they all decided to watch a movie. I ended up taking a benedryll, talking to Jordan on the phone and falling asleep. I was tired.

Saturday was all homework. I was very productive. I made a freaking awesome poster for my Bio class....yeah it's hanging up in our kitchen now because I'm so proud of i I ended up getting a lot of my homework done so when my FHE boys invited me to play Capture the Flag, I was out the door! (I've had cabin fever a lot lately.)

Capture the flag was awesome! It was organized really well with maps, headbands and glowstick boundries. It was awesome! I even helped try to get the flag the second round of it! (I did get caught in jail like 5 times though...) Definitely looking forward to more big games like that. It was a blast.

On Sunday, the temple dedication was broadcasted. I went to that at 9am. Then finished the rest of my homework most of the day. Tarron came over to help me with my Book of Mormon study guide. And we ended up hanging out for a bit. He went and took a lap with me (Cabin Fever again) around the dorm buildings because I had way too much energy.

Karina made us dinner! It was quite yummy. After, I played my uke out on the balcony and got ambushed by boys. They heard me playing and ran up the stairs all at once and were pushing each other down to get up to the balcony first to reach their "Juliet". It was quite the production!

We ended up being in charge of Ward Prayer so we got to introduce ourselves to the ward. Natalie introduced me as the Dorm Mom! Later, I went to tunnel singing with the roommates and Mark, Jackson and Logan, worked on my homework then went to bed.

Then a stupid car alarm decided to go off at 3:30am. And continued to go off till about 4am. It was right outside our window. Our window was open. Yeah. I was very upset.

I woke up sleepy and irritated. However, I got a 8/10 on my Chem quiz. I was pretty proud of that. Then I took my Book of Mormon exam which was frustrating. Hardly any of what was on the Study Guide was on the test. Sure, tell the convert to do the Study Guide and then test her on everything she doesn't know. REAL COOL. Then I wasted an hour in the writing center with a tutor because it's 5% of my grade. Seriously. I don't need help with writing! 3 Advanced Writing classes and 2 AP ones. I think I'm good! Yes, this is college but this is a ridiculous class....What is a comma? I don't know. WHAT IS IT?! (Sorry, about the rant)

Now I'm home. About to take a nap. But I should first go to the Creamery and get milk. I drank a whole gallon, by myself, in three days.... I haven't had milk since Saturday. GAH!

I have quite a bit of homework but my brain can't function because my sleep was interrupted by that stupid car alarm. I'm of course trying to stay positive. This week just needs to be over and then next week...next week will be cake! Why? NO EXAMS. And it's conference week. Rumor has it, Teachers don't give as much homework then... Cross your fingers!

P.S. In case you forgot. LEGGINGS ARE NOT PANTS. Come on people! You'd think BYU girls, with their modest clothing, would at least know that. Guess I was wrong.
